give up = accept defeat / stop trying to do something

I gave up trying to get a promotion. They never consider me.

No matter how hard it is, you should never give up on a dream.

give in = accept or do something you don’t want to

Fred keeps asking for money, but I won’t give in. He never gives it back.

Last night I gave in and ate dessert. I will restart my diet today!

give something away = reveal a secret/information

We’re having a surprise party for mom, but don’t give it away. You’re terrible at keeping secrets!

Leo was the one who stole the money. He gave it away when he could not look me in the eyes.
